I was rai...I hold grudges like a magnet with metal. I was raised in a Christian home but an idea from a different religious tradition has helped me more with "forgiveness." That's the possibility of reincarnation: specifically, that if I don't make things right with somebody in this lifetime, then I'll be stuck with them again next go-round.
